“Island Looms” is a community development initiative led by the Rotaract Club of Centennial United, in supporting an underprivileged community who are also engaged in handloom business as a way of living.
This initiative was started as a women empowerment project to uplift the underprivileged women and uphold the SMEs in Sri Lanka.
The main objective of this project is to streamline a small entrepreneur community as a brand name in the Sri Lankan handloom industry and create a community fund to support and uphold the community needs.
Our vision is to establish a brand image as Island Looms and create an e-commerce platform in supporting an underprivileged community who are engaged in handloom business as a way of living.

- To position the brand by reflecting its emotions and purpose to its target group
- To improve digital brand awareness by communicating the brand story to its potential consumers
- To create an offline market space for the handloom products through Partnerships
- To create a gateway for the community by helping them have a decent workplace while uplifting the community standard.
